Jon Squire has more than 19 years of business, marketing and product development experience in financial services and emerging technologies. Most recently, Jon was CMO of CorFire, SK C&C's global mCommerce headquarters where he led the deployment of Dunkin' Donuts Mobile. He was also SVP of Mobile Payments at mFoundry where he spearheaded the Starbucks Card Mobile team and helped create the first mobile wallet initiatives in the U.S. with retailers, carriers and financial institutions. Between his work at CorFire and mFoundry, Jon has been involved in the two largest mobile payments programs in the nation.
Jon has consistently driven innovation and created world-class product offerings in new categories. He launched the first national mobile P2P offering in partnership with Sprint and PayPal and is well known for his leading edge work with NFC, barcode and alternative technologies that integrate with the point of sale. Earlier in his career, he also led mobile/e-commerce payment initiatives for Wells Fargo and ran E*TRADE Advisory Services.
Diane is a marketing executive with over 17 years of experience building product and corporate brands. She has worked at top advertising agencies including Ogilvy & Mather and Saatchi & Saatchi and also managed the brand strategy department at Interbrand San Francisco, one of the largest brand consultancies in the world.
Diane brings expertise in financial services, mobile and retail. As one of the original members of the management team at mFoundry, Diane led all marketing efforts helping the company establish leadership in the mobile banking space. She also worked at Visa USA and on various retail accounts during her tenure at Saatchi & Ogilvy.

Patricia is an accomplished business executive who brings over 15 years of client delivery and relationship management experience with her to CARDFREE. As former Senior Vice President of Program Management and Business Operations at WaveCrest, she was responsible for the successful delivery of products, programs, profitability and scale for clients launching innovative payment solutions worldwide. Prior to WaveCrest, Patricia led all business activities as Vice President of Client Delivery at Fidelity National Information Services, Inc. (FIS) which included account development, product management and B2B operations for Tier 1 financial institutions and Fortune 500 clientele.
Patricia also brings strategic account development expertise from eFunds corporation, where she led the development and integration of the FIS and American Express Prepaid systems, culminating in the largest card migration in the industry.
Head of Customer Engagement
Chuck brings 15 + years of successful product innovation experience in US and global markets. Heralded as a mobile payments innovator, Chuck designed, developed and launched the largest mobile payment system in the US from idea to beta to 10,000+ stores while at Starbucks. Prior to launching Starbucks Mobile, Chuck developed and led the innovation strategy for the $1.5 B Starbucks Card program and ran the Global Card program, which deployed in Hong Kong, Mexico, UK and Ireland.
Chuck has also worked at Visa, FedEx and most recently at GoPago, a mobile commerce start-up where he was Head of Consumer Products. Chuck is skilled at turning strategy into products that exceed customer expectation, meet financial targets, enhance in store operations and offer intuitive value to the customer resulting in adoption.
Head of Platform
Darren brings 15+ years of experience across multiple facets of the payments industry specializing in prepaid processing and payments product development. Prior to joining CARDFREE, Darren served as General Manager for Financial Services at Blackhawk Network, the world leader in retail distribution of payment cards, and as Vice President of Product Development and Strategy for FIS Prepaid Solutions.
During his career, Darren has launched a national prepaid load network, managed multiple prepaid programs and has defined, designed and built an industry-leading prepaid processing platform and associated web andmobile applications. Darren is a proven innovator who has worked across a variety of payment products and channels.
Head of Platform Technology
Jim brings over 14 years of technology experience with an expertise in building disruptive, innovative software solutions to market. He has worked on large scale projects for top merchants while at stored value/prepaid leader, InComm and has financial services experience from Intuit. Prior to CARDFREE, Jim led development and technology at Revionics, an end-to-end merchandise solution for merchants where he worked on offers, loyalty, social commerce and data.
Scott Schwan, CISSP
Head of Security
Scott is a Certified Information Systems Security Professional who brings 15 years of security engineering experience working at large merchants, technology companies and consulting groups. Most recently Scott was Lead Information Security Engineer at Starbucks where he was responsible for providing security guidance, security architecture and requirements for key initiatives including Starbucks Mobile, Pay with Square and web application firewalls for Starbucks.com. He also led all Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI-DSS) efforts and managed on-site audits. Prior to Starbucks, Scott was at Tommy Bahama Group helping to strengthen the information security program and improve PCI readiness.
Scott also worked at PricewaterhouseCoopers and SMART Business Advisory and Consulting where he performed multiple PCI audits for level 1, 2 and 3 merchants, conducted information security compliance testing and authored corporate information security policies, security incidence response plans and other documentation for Fortune 500 companies.
Head of Technology
Sen is a Principal Engineer and Solutions Architect with over 18 years experience leading teams to deliver scalable and secure multi-tier systems, design patterns, and complex data structures. Sen was the Architect and Lead Developer for key initiatives while at Starbucks, including starbucks.com, Starbucks Rewards, Social Gifting and numerous mobile programs, including Starbucks Mobile and Square. He was also Lead Architect at Starbucks for programs with Google Offers and Living Social, which became the best-selling daily deal of all time.
Sen brings a passion for technology, particularly the digital intersection of social, mobile and commerce. He was one of the founders of a mobile ordering company, which won $100k grand-prize at PayPal X challenge in 2010.
